唐朝玄宗年間,發(fā)生了歷史上有名的安史之亂。當(dāng)時的名將張巡守睢陽城,浴血奮戰(zhàn)。但寡不敵眾,只好派手下大將南霽云向其它城守將討救兵。南霽云帶了三十名騎兵,奉命突圍到附近的臨淮關(guān)搬救兵。敵軍數(shù)萬人發(fā)現(xiàn)南霽云等的蹤跡,就四面攔截,不放他過去。南霽云左右馳射,人馬所到之處,好象閃電一樣,倏爾明滅,使得敵軍神搖目眩,不知所措。南霽云突圍成功,到達(dá)淮陽時只損失兩名部下,唐朝的將軍們都妒忌張巡的威名,坐視其敗,不愿伸出援手。臨淮的守將賀蘭進(jìn)明,尤其如此。南霽云苦口請兵,賀蘭進(jìn)明只是不答應(yīng)。南霽云悲憤之至,在宴會中撥出佩劍,砍斷一只手指,鮮血淋漓地斥責(zé)賀蘭進(jìn)明自私,座中人不禁為之淚下。
睢陽城破,張巡、南霽云等被俘不屈,以身殉國。
潮陽及澄海都建有雙忠公祠,以紀(jì)念張巡和許遠(yuǎn)。而南霽云斫斷手指頭的這個典故,也隨之流傳。但其語義已有所演變。
宋朝的時候,有個叫陳州的地方,這里連著三年都沒有下過雨了,地里的莊稼都枯死了,老百姓沒有糧食吃,到處流浪乞討.朝廷知道后,便派劉衙內(nèi)的兒子劉得中和女婿楊金吾到陳州發(fā)放糧食,救濟災(zāi)民.臨走時.劉衙內(nèi)悄悄地對他們倆個說:你們兩個去陳州發(fā)放糧食救災(zāi),這可是個發(fā)財?shù)暮脵C會呀!你們到那里這后,就把米價抬高,由五兩一石改成十兩一石,然后再往米里面和一些泥土和糠秕,這樣我們就可以借這個機會大賺一筆啦!兩人聽了,會意地點點頭,然后便離去了.到了陳州后,劉得中和楊金吾兩人便按父親說的那樣,把米價改成了十兩一石,往米里面摻了很多土和糠秕,還在稱上面做了手腳,短斤少兩.老百姓看到買來的米不僅價格高不夠斤數(shù),而且里面還有很多泥土和糠秕,心里非常氣憤,于是便聯(lián)合起來,到官府那里告狀,誰知這件事情傳到了包拯的耳朵里,包拯是當(dāng)時有名的鐵面無私,公正執(zhí)法的官員,他知道后,親自到陳州了解情況,調(diào)查清楚之后,便馬上把劉得中、楊金吾抓了起來,按照法律判處了死刑.
俗語:凡事學(xué)大丈意指做事心中無數(shù),盲目跟從。大丈本指大姨父,潮汕習(xí)俗大人跟小孩稱呼對方以示尊敬,所以襟弟稱襟兄也稱大丈。凡事學(xué)大丈這個俗語,源出民間流傳的一則傻女婿故事。傳說以前有一位傻女婿要到岳母家祝壽,妻子怕他出洋相,便告訴他:大姐夫是個知書識理的人,到了我媽家,你就跟他學(xué)著做就行了。翌日,到了丈母娘(岳母)家,傻女婿便細(xì)心注意大女婿的一舉一動,認(rèn)真模仿。在筵席上,大女婿舉杯向丈母娘祝壽,他也舉杯祝壽;大女婿為丈母娘夾菜,他也夾菜;規(guī)規(guī)矩矩,很有風(fēng)度。丈母娘心想小女婿雖沒讀書,也甚懂理,心里很高興。席間大女婿掰分一粒蚶吃,并用手帕將蚶殼包下,然后又吃豆粉湯。小女婿一不留心沒看清楚,以為大丈吃蚶是連殼吞下,心想這可能是禮貌吃法。于是,也拿了一粒蚶放進(jìn)嘴里,拼命往喉嚨里咽。這談何容易,他被哽得好苦。大女婿見襟弟這般傻相,忍不住大笑一聲,誰料剛吞下的豆粉絲從鼻孔中噴了出來。傻女婿見狀,驚懼萬分,忙把蚶殼吐出,連連說:大丈啊大丈,你那蛤蟆吞涎已經(jīng)把我哽得半死。這一著牛囝穿鼻我確實學(xué)不來!弄得大丈哭笑不得,眾人卻被逗得哈哈大笑起來。
孟子三歲喪父,由其母親撫養(yǎng)成人。小時候住山東鄒縣城北二十五里的馬鞍山下,村名叫范村,村不遠(yuǎn)有一片墓地,出殯的人群常從孟子家門口經(jīng)過,於是孟子就模仿送殯的人,孟母看見了,認(rèn)為「此非所以居吾子也」,就把家搬到城國北部的廟戶營??墒沁@裏街上相當(dāng)繁華,東部住一個殺豬屠戶,孟子就學(xué)屠戶的樣子,整天嬉戲。孟母感到這裏也不宜培養(yǎng)孩子,便又移居於「學(xué)宮之院」,即縣城南門外子思書院旁。從此,孟子被瑯瑯的讀書聲所吸引,孟母甚喜,就把孟子送進(jìn)了這所學(xué)宮讀書,他勤奮讀書,終成大儒。
嫦娥的故事
相傳,遠(yuǎn)古時候天上有十日同時出現(xiàn),曬得莊稼枯死,民不聊生,一個名叫后羿的英雄,力大無窮,他同情受苦的百姓,登上昆侖山頂,運足神力,拉開神弓,一氣射下九個多太陽,并嚴(yán)令最后一個太陽按時起落,為民造福。 后羿因此受到百姓的尊敬和愛戴,后羿娶了個美麗善良的妻子,名叫嫦娥。后羿除傳藝狩獵外,終日和妻子在一起,人們都羨慕這對郎才女貌的恩愛夫妻。 不少志士慕名前來投師學(xué)藝,心術(shù)不正的蓬蒙也混了進(jìn)來。一天,后羿到昆侖山訪友求道,巧遇由此經(jīng)過的王母娘娘,便向王母求得一包不死藥。據(jù)說,服下此藥,能即刻升天成仙。然而,后羿舍不得撇下妻子,只好暫時把不死藥交給嫦娥珍藏。嫦娥將藥藏進(jìn)梳妝臺的百寶匣里,不料被小人蓬蒙看見了,他想偷吃不死藥自己成仙。三天后,后羿率眾徒外出狩獵,心懷鬼胎的蓬蒙假裝生病,留了下來。待后羿率眾人走后不久,蓬蒙手持寶劍闖入內(nèi)宅后院,威逼嫦娥交出不死藥。嫦娥知道自己不是蓬蒙的對手,危急之時她當(dāng)機立斷,轉(zhuǎn)身打開百寶匣,拿出不死藥一口吞了下去。嫦娥吞下藥,身子立時飄離地面、沖出窗口,向天上飛去。由于嫦娥牽掛著丈夫,便飛落到離人間最近的月亮上成了仙。傍晚,后羿回到家,侍女們哭訴了白天發(fā)生的事。后羿既驚又怒,抽劍去殺惡徒,蓬蒙早逃走了,后羿氣得捶胸頓足,悲痛欲絕,仰望著夜空呼喚愛妻的名字,這時他驚奇地發(fā)現(xiàn),今天的月亮格外皎潔明亮,而且有個晃動的身影酷似嫦娥。他拼命朝月亮追去,可是他追三步,月亮退三步,他退三步,月亮進(jìn)三步,無論怎樣也追不到跟前。后羿無可奈何,又思念妻子,只好派人到嫦娥喜愛的后花園里,擺上香案,放上她平時最愛吃的蜜食鮮果,遙祭在月宮里眷戀著自己的嫦娥。百姓們聞知嫦娥奔月成仙的消息后,紛紛在月下擺設(shè)香案,向善良的嫦娥祈求吉祥平安。
乘風(fēng)叩橄欖 乘風(fēng)叩橄欖,是流傳于潮汕各地的俗語,也是潮汕歷史上曾經(jīng)發(fā)生過的實事。作為俗語,它嘲弄那些乘機撈一把的不良現(xiàn)象或趁火打劫的不法行為。作為史實,它曾發(fā)生于盛產(chǎn)橄欖的地方。乘風(fēng)的風(fēng),指的是臺風(fēng)。叩橄欖則是偷盜的行為。橄欖,是潮汕的土特產(chǎn)。潮汕橄欖品種繁多,馳名海內(nèi)外的名優(yōu)橄欖,有潮澄饒交界一帶的烏種橄欖、潮陽金玉蘆塘的三棱橄欖和揭西鳳湖橄欖等。由于橄欖用途廣,價值高,歷來果農(nóng)喜歡種植它,鼠賊仔也蓄意偷竊它。澄海隆都南溪村有民謠:南溪阿媽多,無好仔弟擔(dān)阿媽去賣。橄欖與阿媽音近似,阿媽即橄欖。而擔(dān)阿媽去賣的仔弟,自然不是好仔弟。無好仔弟指的處那些愉叩橄欖的鼠賊仔。 當(dāng)?shù)厝苏f,收獲橄欖從來都是摘取,不是叩。霜降,橄欖摘落甕。這農(nóng)諺指明兩點:一說收獲橄欖季節(jié)是霜降;二說收獲橄欖的方法是摘。摘取橄欖還要有相當(dāng)?shù)募夹g(shù)。一般是用1條竹藤制成的軟性長梯,每梯格約1米,最長的梯有18格,即18米。操作人把梯倚于樹冠邊,順梯爬上去后,用腳夾住梯格,手抓樹枝,采摘橄欖,放進(jìn)身后勾籃。摘取時最怕有風(fēng),更怕大風(fēng),因風(fēng)吹樹枝搖,操作人有危險,同時風(fēng)吹樹搖橄欖掉,掉下來的橄欖易損傷,不能久藏。只有鼠賊仔才乘風(fēng)叩橄欖。因為臺風(fēng)到來,果園無人摘橄欖,鼠賊仔就乘此機會,用竹竿或石頭偷叩橄欖。這樣,風(fēng)刮加偷叩,橄欖落滿地,鼠賊仔偷走一部分,還剩下很多,風(fēng)后園主巡查也弄不清是被風(fēng)吹落,還是被人偷叩。鼠賊仔自以為這是其得意之作。但時日久長,終被發(fā)覺。這乘風(fēng)叩橄欖就成了廣為流傳的俗語。如今,人們對于那些層層加碼的亂收費等不正之風(fēng),也比如為乘風(fēng)叩橄欖。
